He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama. The judge's poem sums it up quite well. America the Beautiful, or so you used to be. THE JESUS PAINTER

Mike Lewis has been painting at Christian events since mid 1998. He paints large portraits of Christ in under twenty minutes. It began when his close friend, Christian songwriter Seth Haines, told him that he had written a song called "Intimate Portrait" and wanted Mike to paint a portrait of Christ on stage during the song. Although Mike was in art school, he had never really painted before. The request was actually rather unreasonable in terms of possibility. Seth wanted a portrait large enough for an entire audience to see and also a likeness to Christ painted in seven minutes. Artists will tell you that usually portraits are very time consuming and some spend years on a single piece. Intimidated by the request but challenged by God Mike decided to trust him and began planning for the painting. After several months of thought and preparation the night arrived. Mike did not have the available funds to do a practice painting so the first try was live on stage. After a short prayer with his friend Mark Herrera that whatever happened God would be glorified through the artwork he walked to the stage and began to paint. Mike says that immediately everything disappeared except the canvas. He has described it as his most peaceful personal time with Christ. He began to swirl colors from the entire spectrum into the face of Christ, then at the end of the painting when the face was recognizable he began to throw blood (red paint) right in Jesus' face. This can be painful to watch but we need to realize that we are responsible for the blood that he shed. Many people were in the crowd who wanted Mike to come paint for a youth group or church service, the rest as they say "was history". Now there are eleven different compositions that Mike has developed, four of which are available to the public. He now paints and speaks on a regular basis. A new ministry is born. Glory to God!

Is pornography a danger to me spiritually? Well, maybe we should be asking a different question in light of the above. To God, the virtual is the real.In fact, the virtual is the spiritual! We are to guard our hearts as believers, but how can we have complete victory in this life over the world ,the flesh and the devil? The answer is to care enough to get armed. There is a NOW reward for walking in purity.There is something that the church is truely lacking in these days ~ God Confidence. Purity gives us spirtual weight. Sinful indulgence strips us of our God confidence. It opens the door to the enemy and invites him in to plunder our aquired treasure thru our relationship with the Holy One. If you are still reading this , you probably realize that you are living behind enemy lines and thus need to be equipped. The above is one resource to help in the fight. HOW LITTLE DO YOU HAVE ?

Again, stop for a moment and think !! If you belong to Him you are in good hands.~ He is working something out in you. Now is your time to give Him your loaves and fishes. 'But it's all I have!', you say. That might be true, but give it anyway . One thing is guaranteed ~ when the fragments of the baskets are picked up, nothing will be wasted and your needs will have been met. So give it up. Release it to Him, commit it to Him and watch what He does with the little you have given. This is the beginning of your miracle.

It is the testimony of Jesus that causes "sufferings for the gospel." The apostle John was banished to the Isle of Patmos "for the testimony of Jesus Christ" (Revelation 1:9). Revelation also tells us that it is those who "have the testimony of Jesus Christ" who receive persecution in the last days (Revelation 12:17). What then does Scripture mean by the "testimony of our Lord"? What did Jesus testify? He specifically tells us in John 7:7: "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil" (emphasis added). He was hated because He testified against the sin of the world, and He preached about the reality of hell more than He did about heaven." He sat at the gates of that city, saw the sin and yet did not reprove or speak out a testimony against it. He and his family had to eventually be dragged out of that place by angels before God rained down His Holy Judgement against sin. Let him who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity. Let us become indeed a peculiar people separated unto God, Holy like Him and zealous of good works, thus we will bear the testimony of Jesus Christ as we walk. selah.
